Short 128Gb USB C thumb drive query

Featured Replies

Hi All,

As above - 3 day old Karoq 1.5Tsi SE L Edition - Don't seem to be able to find anything that will allow the cover to slide back over☹️

Any idea's? I don't want a cable or adaptors etc, just a drive

Thanks

Give me a sec - I'll post a picture of my solution.

Allows the door to close and leaves the other USB C port and 12V charging socket free 👍

My original solution was to use these to connect a mini USB drive to the USB C port. It lay flat and allowed the door to close, but prevented ready access to the 12V accessory socket.

So I switched to my current (cable & adapter) based solution.

@diver

For some bizarre reason, large capacity drives simply don't exist. Given the proliferation of USB C in recent years, together with the removal of SD card support from many Android phones, it's puzzling as to why not. But even if they did exist, covering them when they can produce a fair bit of heat in use may not be the best idea.

Only providing USB C support & in such a daft place must come from Skoda's other design philosophy, Simply Idiotic...

Hi

You need these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BNMDRWR6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

The only problem is you can only use one at a time. see

I can connect the phone and close the lid. I have a second lead for the wife's phone, but she usually wants it in her hand so it doesn't matter that I can't shut the lid.
