Skoda connect stuck in private mode

Featured Replies

Hi

I've joined this forum with the hope that others have experienced the same problem. After adding the connect app to my phone and registering my car to my account, I'm unable to remove the private mode setting. I took it to the local dealer, who if im honest, didn't really have a clue. Then an independent found that the car needed a software update. This was done yesterday, but I am still unable to unchecked the private mode setting.

Does anyone have any ideas? I've had no success on Google. If anyone could advise that would be fantastic. The car is a 67 plate sport line model DSG.

Thanks

delete the user and just sign in as guest, remove app from phone it's all but usless and wants subscription and money for anything even remotely useful.

Plus you have to login every time with a stupid 4 pin code just don't need the hassle so they can track and report you if you go to fast etc. it's all about control the only thing worth having is the honk if you lose your car and the tracking if it's stolen , which in fairness if someone can steal your car they will likely know how to deactivate it's location so all in all it's worthless.

Could this be a record for the longest time to receive a response?

I think the op gave up checking in August 2025
