NOE Alloy Wheels

Featured Replies

Can anyone give their opinion on ATS Alloy Wheels. My current OEM have en slight buckles and require a refurb although VAG actively discourage this in their methods.

I believe ATS are supposed to be n of good quality but wanted to know members opinions or recommendations

Thanks

Aftermarket alloy rims usually have non-standard specifications such as different rim widths and offsets.

So you may need to inform your insurance company about the modification..and possibly pay increased insurance premiums.

Also, aftermarket alloy rim sellers will often be unwilling to sell a single alloy rim if you damage one at a later date...or possibly the seller won't have that model in stock anymore...or maybe a single alloy rim will simply be priced much higher than when buying a set of four.

Perhaps take at look at the Skoda alloy rim accessory catalogue. The Czech website "skoda eshop cz" tend to list all of these, but they are also available to order from any VAG parts department by quoting the relevant OEM part number.

Alloy rims listed in Skoda's alloy rim accessory catalogue tend to be about 60% less than Skoda's normal prices because Skoda are competing on price with aftermarket alloy rims.

ATS are pretty well respected.

Revo, Racingline, TeamDynamics and others do direct fit CB wheels, so no spigot rings are needed. OZ, Rotiform, etc are also worth a look.

Insurance will need to know, but it shouldn’t be more than an admin fee. You should be able to get a nice fitment with regard to width and offset.

That said, if you don’t care how they look, go for OE. They are the best quality for the best price. Sure, OZ are nicer, but you pay way more. No reason why you can’t get SEAT/Cupra/VW/Audi/Skoda wheels too.

Hi Guys,

Thank you for your input. I would rather stick with OEM and the info you have provided is certainly worth looking into.

Thanks
