Need help with rim dimensions

Featured Replies

So right now i have the "original" or "normal" rims whatever you want to call them but i want to buy some 18's from alibaba and they asked me for the following

Diameter: R18

Width:

Offset:

Hole/PCD:

CB:

For car: Octavia Mk1 2003

I tried asking some companies that make 18's for the octavia mk1 for these informations but i got no reply back....

For the width if you could help me out what do you run on your mk1's and if you need spacers etc. And is it better to go for x/30/18 or x/35/18? Thanks!

Also if it helps il either be running a rotagrid drift type rim or some bbs type not too sure yet. Thanks!

Is your Octavia one with the PCD of 5 x100, so not 5x112? Fabia, Ibiza, Polo, Old Golfs, Old Octavia etc 5x100

Are the 18" Rims you are looking at like, 5x100 18" 6.5 J ?

What size tyres are on the car now?

@Carlston Can give you all the numbers.

Thanks to both of you yeah. I looked online aswell and found both of the sites.
Regarding legal reasons here in Slovenia i can apparently fit 205/40 R18 . And as i checked on the willtheyfit.com they should be okay. I think. Regarding the offset for the 18 inch rims and the rim itself (width) how much should i be looking for? Same offset as 15? so 38? And for the wheel width (the 18) Should i go for 6, 7? Or something else? Thanks!

@Carlston will tell you about width of rims.

I would not be going slightly less circumference / total diameter as you are thinking.

Is it looks you are going for?

Yes mostly looks. I would of have gone with the 35 profile but i cant. The ones i can choose from are these. 225/40 R18 215/40 R18 205/40 R18 So either 205 or 215 would be my go.

225,s on a 7.5 x 17" rim might be a good idea for performance over style.

A size that some Golfs had.
