Throttle body cleaning advice.

Not sure how active the forum is anymore on the older models?

I’m getting some lag on my acceleration and looking through the forum it may well be my throttle body, I’m just coming up to 80k. It’s never been replaced and I’ve not cleaned it.

I was going to tear it down this weekend and give it a clean, but I read on one post that I may need to program the throttle body after cleaning it as it’ll loose it position and may idle higher. Is this true or am I alright to take it out, cleaning it and plug it all back in?
