Rear Axel Bushing

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have Removed Both my Rear Axle Bushing and Purchased the LEMFÖRDER 27627 01 Repair Set, However Even with a press i cannot make these fit.

Measuring the Axel seems to have a 68mm hole so a 72mm Bushing is a extremly tight fit however all 72mm Bushing look correct in terms of style compared to the old ones, Whereas all 69mm Bushing look Drastically Diffrent Such as the Febi Bilstein 19928s.

What size hole would you Expect to be able to Push the 72mm bushing into as i cannot find any numbers on my axel to clarify what size i might need agaist other Fourm Posts

If the bush is 72mm then I would reckon the hole should be just very slightly smaller (fraction of mm) to get a tight fit. 4mm I reckon is way too much difference unless they are rubber.

What fabia have you got. engine plus age and is it an estate?

it was a 1.9 tdi 2005 non estate, end up dropping the rear axel completly off and hitting them with a slede hammer.
Not Ideal but they went in though there was minor damage to the out plastic, handles fine and passed an mot.
