Featured Replies

Hi, has anyone experienced same error as below: P0299. The car is Škoda Octavia MK4 sedan 1.5 TSi

I’ve no knowledge of the error codes but a while back my 2020 build car had a software update for the AC - presumably there was some kind of issue early on.

Happened once to your car, six weeks ago. Monitor again in a months time but have a quick check your hoses are all seated properly. Your turbo actuator or boost pressure sensor had a moment but it may just be a blip.

As above, may just be a blip but P0299 is the code for under boost - so possible leak in the system, check hoses, air box lid etc., also check air filter isn't clogged and no exhaust leaks.

It could be a faulty boost actuator as that's not uncommon in VAG vehicles and/or boost pressure sensor as per @inspectorman post.

I think his advice about rechecking in a month or so is also valid as it more than likely an electrical blip which doesn't seem uncommon on these cars either!
