PCV Valve gasket fell in

Featured Replies

I effed up when changing the pcv valve and the gasket fell in.. i have been able to locate where it is using a endoscope but its in a hard to reach place so i was wondering if its posible to remove the non return valve on the side of the engine to get better acces to it? I've circled it in red where its located. Skoda Fabia mk2 1.2 cbza

It is quite easy to remove that valve, but I don't think access is going to improve much. The end of the camshaft is not far behind there.

i know but i might get a better angle with the endoscope so i can fish it out with a steel wire

I managed to get the gasket out! But there is small pieces of the pcv valve still in there. They are really small almost like grains of sand because the old valve is disintegrating when you touch it will that be a problem?

Well done, good result.

No, I wouldn't worry about what is left. It will probably end up in the sump soon, may come out with the next oil change.
