Can anyone help with VCDS coding for my wifes citigo and PDC rear parking ?

Featured Replies

I thought I'd be nice and sort out reversing PDC for my wife.

She had cancer in remission ( lost both parents to same only just within last 12 months) and she told me she has trouble moving her neck about for reversing, which may explain a few scratches so I wanted to make it easier and safer.

I got the module fully fitted and seems to be working with beeps but I'm just struggling whether I can activate the lines / visible OPC part of it as it looks like some stuff already enabled like OPS?
Anyone got any advice for adaption or long coding as I don't have a clue as its seems to have stuff already enabled as per the screenshot if anyone can help.

The manuals only talk about using VAX505X which is obviously only dealer and online searches are fairly limited.
https://www.upownersclub.co.uk/threads/guide-on-retrofitting-pdc-reversing-parking-sensors.15399/ is what someone managed but pre FL by looks of it.

I might contemplate getting a VCDS cable if it might be better (OBD has priced itself out of long term use IMHO and I missed their unlimited licensing by a matter of months)
or grateful if anyone has already happy to help around Northants or just advice on what to turn on / coding please ?

I think it may be 5F missing coding but may need to look more into this...

It was...but may be missing something

Now found following some adaptions it is come up and working correctly ( sort of)!

I now have display lines that work along with the beeps.

At some points it says "OPS is not available" I think each time the car stops/ starts - but still carries on and displays parking sensing anyway!?!

Also after taking out of reverse it doesn't automatically immediately remove the sensing, I think it does momentarily if you move though so not sure if there is further coding for this.

So 90% working with some minor gripages
