Dynatwist Induction kit

Featured Replies

Mine was fitted yesterday (very well too, I must add), so I haven't really had much chance to test it, but the following springs to mind if anyone is thinking of getting one ..

The change in engine noise is minimal. There's s little more induction roar, it sounds much crisper, but you could by no means describe it as dramatic, which is cool as I need to use the car for long journeys as well as the fun stuff. Also, there's a pleasant increase in the 'whistle' from the turbo, but again not excessive.

I think if you were looking for a great increase in the noise department, you might be better of with something else, but if you're after a subtle change without rendering yourself deaf then this is a good kit.

Also, I think it was SkodiRS who reckoned that it improved the low-end pull on his car. I would definitely agree, even allowing for the psychological effect of having something new fitted. My Octy vRS is as flat as a f4rt low down, but felt noticeably better today. Whether a dyno would bear this out is, of course, another matter!

All in all, I'm dead pleased, and it's a quality kit too, with all the bits needed and Bill from Badger5 was dead pleasant and helpful when I rang to order it. Full Crimbo marks all round I say ....

Chris,

has you put the inlet pipe right down by the lower lhs grill? If so have you drilled the grill out? In standard form I think there is a minimal amoiunt of holes in it.

I originally only used about half the pipe and had it "behind" the head light. The DV venting was even more noticeable. Now pipe is right by the grill.

The response will get better with miles due to adaption.

I think the response is even more noticeable with the cold weather.

Cheers.

Adrian.

Hi Adrian,

Chris (the chap that fitted it) tucked the full length pipe (as far as I know) in behind the headlight unit, because he didn't want to cut the car at all.

I'm seing him for a pint tonight, and he said he'd have a chat with me about it while I ply him with Guiness in appreciation of his efforts :dtp:

Even allowing for the cold weather, I'm certain the car feels better before it comes on boost properly. I'll need to conduct some "testing" over the Christmas break to confirm this :silly:

Most customers say that with a couple of hundred miles on the filter it gets louder and more responsive... Partly ECU adaption I think combined with the cotton gauze relaxing with the airflow.

Enjoy. :)

I've felt that affect before somewhere ... :D
