AMD 1 click...Any good?

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 05 plate fabia vrs and I am interested in the amd 1 click. Is there anyone on here who has one? Is it any good? What bhp and mainly torque figures would I be looking at if I purchased one? Pro's and con's?

Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure before spending money!

Cheers Matt:)

Have you tried a search?

There is plenty of info about 1 click if you search.

In a nutshell if it suits its good value. :)

I've been really pleased with mine, think its probably a little lower on bhp and torque than custom remaps but the advantage is it protects the clutch better - 10k with it on and absolutely no slip - and I like to boot it.

Try a search.

There was a group buy of these not so long ago (never to be repeated so I hear) but loads of owners including myself posted their opinions.

On a recent rolling road day I ran 145 bhp & 225 lb/ft "standard" (PD160 intake & standard air filter) and 163 bhp & 255 lb/ft "clicked"

Pro's and con's?

PRO'S:

The Smile factor

Slightly improved MPG

Switchable so you can change whenever you want (servicing etc)

CON'S:

You'll be tempted to boot it everywhere :D

License losing territory arrives VERY quickly ;)

Increased clutch wear

Thanks for the replys everyone. Yeah i did a search but couldnt get a simple answer like "yes" or "no dont bother". So you can actually feel a big difference between standard and clicked? I like the sound of it because you can put everything back to normal for dealer visits etc for warrenty issues and by the sounds of it, it will keep the clutch happy too, which was one of my main concerns. Just one more question, can it be swapped between cars (ie if I get another fabia vrs after my current one?)

Thanks again for your help everyone! Matt.:)

Black in the new silver!!;)

Aplogies for that skirmish. The forum is mostly full of genuine guys, honest.;)

To get back to your thread. A few people have this and its rated very highly. The good bit is being able to put it back to standard at anytime.

One of these fine days I'll get around to ordering one!!

Having had the very first one on a Fabia vRS (the code was written for my car originally) I can say it is a nifty bit of kit for sure.
