If a door is open a warning display comes up on the maxi dot system. It quite possible to drive some distance without noticing the warning on the dash. Why is there not an audible warning at the time that the warning display first comes up?

You dont notice the maxi dot? Not being funny but are you blind, its massive..lol.

After the beep for the seat belt, then the beep for your service, then the beep for ambient temp and finally a beep for your low screenwash I guess they figure one more beep would tip some people over the edge.

It quite possible to drive some distance without noticing the warning on the dash.

:eek: . Personally speaking, the fact the usual trip computer display hasn't yet come up is warning enough in addition to the little open door image on the view right in front of me.

On this occassion I was concentrating on manoeuvrering out of the local dump, exiting at its poor visibility junction and then immediately crossing over a roundabout so I wasn't really looking to see either my speed or how many miles I had done!

Normally I find the maxi dot very noticeable and clear.
