EPC & Clutch High Temp Warning - Karoq

Featured Replies

I bought a 5 year old, 1.5 petrol, 10k mileage, Karoq a few months ago. Basically it's been a lovely car to drive but in the last couple of weeks a warning notice has come up 3 times, 'High Clutch Temperature'. On the first 2 occasions this occurred on the M40 when putting my foot down to overtake. The warning is accompanied with a loss of power. This only lasts for a few seconds and then everything goes back to normal, including disappearance of the warning.

The EPC notification displays on the rev counter until the engine is turned off.

The 3rd occasion happened when changing gear on a normal local run.

Any ideas or advice would be welcome

Hello, welcome to the forum.

Please can you say if your gearbox is DSG or manual?

Have you found a resolution for this yet?

Did it feel like the clutch was slipping?
