Lacquer bubbling on grille

Featured Replies

OK, I’ve done a search, and tried to get onto the Octy 3 forum, both unsuccessfully, (page not available on the forum) hence posting here.

On my 2018 car, with ACC, the majority of the lacquer on the black grille is bubbling up. Not yet peeling, but looking awful. I’m tempted to try and remove the lacquer completely, and depending on how it looks, try and apply new.

Has anyone had the same problem, or have any tips, please?

Many thanks.

Malcolm

Can't help with black, but in the wifemobile (Lexus) the "arch" on top of the grille was some chrome that started peeling like some of the interior parts in Skodas ... I had to replace it, I could not find at the time who could "re-chrome" it or lacquer it.

yours being black, you could have it repainted
