I took my 2023 Monte Carlo to be washed this afternoon and now when I unlock the car, the electric folding mirrors do not retract or move at all. This maybe a coincidence, but Is there anything I should be checking for?

Could it be something as simple as the option being unticked in the options menu?

Can the mirrors be moved using the manual adjustment control?

Hey thanks that did the trick. I guess the car wash guys must have changed the settings while it was being valeted.

This is not unusual, valeters don't want the mirrors folded in.

they didn't though. That's the thing. The keys were in the car. when I drove home they were working perfectly. to be honest, they shouldn't interfere with the settings of somebody's car without their knowledge. They should at least tell them what they need to do or what they have done,

Well from what you say the setting were changed. If not the valeters then possibly due to an OTA software update.
