“Skoda Octavia 2022 – Infotainment System (MIB3) Keeps Restarting and Clicking”

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I own a 2022 Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI, and I’ve been having an ongoing issue with the infotainment system (MIB3).

Here’s what happens:

  • The screen makes a “click-clack” sound as if a relay is switching,

  • The sound randomly cuts off,

  • The system restarts by itself multiple times,

  • And sometimes the screen turns on by itself even when the car is locked.

So far, I’ve tried:

  • A manual reboot by holding the power button for 10–15 seconds,

  • Removing all paired Bluetooth devices,

  • Checking the 12V battery voltage (which seems fine).

Unfortunately, the problem still persists.
I’ve attached a photo showing my current software version, in case someone knows if there’s a newer update or recall campaign related to this issue.

Any advice or feedback from those who experienced something similar would be much appreciated. 🙏
Thanks in advance!

You need a new updated, H49 version, display unit.
