OBD11 service?

Featured Replies

I want to get two things done, firstly to have Lane Assist set to off, or to however it was last set. Secondly, to have the daytime running lights set in Scandinavian mode, which keeps the rear lights as well as the fronts on whenever the car is driven.

Does anyone offer a service to set these, or do I have to buy the OBD11 kit?

I guess that East Yorkshire Retrofit, who fitted my reversing camera, could do it for me, but they are a 500 mile round trip from my East Sussex location.

OBD11 is always good to have

I wonder which kit I would have to buy to do what I want? I would rather that a garage did it, perhaps an independent VAG specialist?

You need a Pro licence then there are instructions on how to achieve both of the things you mention here

Around last christmas i had got a good deal on obd11 ( obd11 + 500 credit + phone holder €99) and been able to do all the changes i wanted with the app, its super easy

  • turn on scandanavian light

  • Turn on both reversing lights

  • Turn off lane assist

  • Turn off sound aktuator ( drove me crazy)

You dont need the obd11 ultimate or pro

Just regular obd11 2nd gen which is around 60 euro

And you can buy 100 credits for around 18 euro

Each change you do will cost about 10 credits

If you don't have pro though that means you're using 1 click apps, which some have questioned as they leave no trace in alterations to the coding. At least if you code the changes yourself, you can always go back and edit if they happen to cause any issues

Btw, is sound actuator only present on the VRS? Or other models too?

I have a diesel Vrs, and (mercifully) I don't think it has a sound actuator. Either that or I am going deaf.

It is good news if I can do what I want with the second generation as I really don't want to have to code the changes.
