Cayc mods b4 remap

Featured Replies

Just wondering as seen this with other makes of car.

Can you fit larger injectors, fuel pump, and turbo 4 example, when trying to tune up/improve a 1.6tdi?

Was going to take it to be professionally mapped, and wanted to have mods done b4 hand.

Anyone played at this with the 1.6 cayc engine?

Dpf/egr removal also maybe, sports cat?

Dont all rush in 🙄

The person Remapping if a Tuner is the person to talk with about hardware upgrades.

This might be of interest, maybe one of the most tuned 1.6 TDI CR

I have a CAYC. It’s a fuel efficient engine but not exactly built for tuning…

thanks for the reply evolution.

Im not after chasing silly figures, but when i was messing with my MGTF we used to do stuff like swapping injectors for ones from other MG cars, porting throttle body and air intake, uprated fuel pumps etc.

I think Re Performance have a well pimped up 1.6 just to highlight their skills.

BTW while im here, anyone know if the suspension of anything else is any good for a mk2 estate?

wondering if any aftermarket shocks n springs i might come across from a saloon or maybe of any other VAG will fit.

Maybe mk5 golfs are a poss donor?

I like to do my mods via scrapyards, ebay, fb and marketplace etc😂
