I'm considering buying either an OBDeleven or a Carly (can't afford VCDS). Has anyone used both or can recommend one against the other?

Obd eleven is the way to go, it has VW approval

It's actually OBD ll (Roman numerals for 2) and I have one of these:

Thanks for your reply. I was referring to the manufacturer OBD eleven https://obdeleven.com as this can also do basic coding as well as diagnostics. I do already have a diagnostic tool similar to the one you mentioned. It is useful.

I have both and I tend to use ODBEleven now. Not interested in generic code readers such as Carly.
