Update 2730

Featured Replies

Well, my 18 month old car was recalled this week and after 3 days I got it back. Dunno why it takes them 3 days to do a software update but apparently it takes them at least 3 attempts before it fails at the end.

I was told that it was to fix the occasional failure to start problem but there seem to have been a couple of other changes. The dashboard was set up completely differently but after an hour of fiddling I managed to get back the original colour scheme. However, the cruise control indicator is now to the left of the speed digits. There may be other changes.

The good news is that the car hasn't failed to start in 36 hours. Oh, and the parcel shelf rewind hasn't reset itself.

The bad news? They gave me a Cupra Leon PHEV courtesy car - and I rather liked it! It's a bit quieter than my Octavia and it's definitely quicker.

Let's not forget better looking both on the inside and outside! 😁
However, Octavia has a lot more space to offer...
