Mk 1 Octavia cruise control will not engage.

The car is fitted with stalk with on/off only and a multi function steering wheel.

Cruise would not engage, showing brake switch problem.

Switch exchanged for new Skoda part, still showing brake switch problem, will not show 0, only 1 in diagnostic.

What do we check next ?

@Tech1e was a bit of a resident expert in this system if I recall correctly 🤞🏻

Possible this could relate to the pedal brake switch. Worth exploring.

Check the wiring from the switch for continuity or fraying
