Favorit / felicia, mpi and spi flywheel differences?

Featured Replies

Hi bit of a odd one this! I've bought a favorit 136B engine along with the other parts needed to do a 136 swap into my estelle 130

I was told the engine was the singke point injection version which I havd e questions about maybe done one will know?

I have an inlet, exhaust manifold, and was given an mpi flywheel

I've read that the spi & mpi have different flywheel, mpi has an extra notch in the wheel itself and a couple more teeth on the ring gear I presume so that the ecu can work with it properly via sensors?

Since I'm going to be running the engine via a carb the ecu sensor, extra notches, extra teeth etc won't matter to me because I'll ve swapping my own 130 ring gear over onto the mpi flywheel but.....

I'd like to know if there's any top dead centre differences between the two flywheels?

Does anyone know if I will have any issues with setting the engine up please or if anyone's done this I'd ve very grateful!

Its not a very common thing these days as the estelles and rapids are old and only things I can read are from long time ago,

I know it would be super easy to just use correct spi or carb flywheel but nothings easy to get now, I looked for ages just to find the engine and was only lucky enough to get it because a guy who rallies favorits happened to be kind enough to help me out knowing what I planned to use it for /in

Any help is massively appreciated
