Radiator fan always running at full speed – Skoda Octavia IV PHEV 2022

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have a 2022 Skoda Octavia IV PHEV, and recently I noticed an issue with the radiator fan.

The fan turns on immediately when the car starts, and it always runs at maximum speed.

It stops only when the ignition is turned off.

Here are some details:

The engine temperature stays normal (around 70–80°C).

The fan doesn’t slow down even when the car is cold.

There are no warning lights on the dashboard.

The problem appears both when charging and when driving.

Has anyone this issue before?

Thanks.

I had a few times that radiator fan went crazy for no reason, but turning off car and back on solved it every time. Happened when driving in e-mode only.

Since heat from HV system is disposed via AC dispenser, I would check first if you have correct level of coolant in HV cooling circuit and that all pumps are working. Otherwise, maybe pulling a bunch of fuses to reboot whatever is related. I don't know really, hope you'll find a solution and will tell us what it was.

I have an appointment at the garage next week. I’ve been driving like this for two weeks already — everything’s working fine in terms of coolant and pumps.

I’m going crazy.
