headlight washer fault

Featured Replies

2016 Yeti is fitted with headlight washers, the passenger one being much more productive than the bumper needs to be removeddriver's side. After a bit of detective work I have traced this to one of the small globe nozzles being missing on that side. I went to the agent with the hope of replacing this and gluing it in position. Of course they are not available, except as a unit with the head and pump. £50.50 plus VAT and fitting, with the possibility of having to remove the bumper for access.

Can anyone suggest a cheaper source, and if the bumper has to be removed.

i'm not sure if the headlights are Xenon, in which case its a MOT fail. It's passed at least one MOT like this without a fail or an advisory. Maybe not checked. Maybe the unfocused deluge is accepted

One of the on-line scrap yard aagencies, perhaps?

And the only requirement for the MoT is that they work, and your's does, though not correctly.

This is what the MOT manual says.

If you DO have the control shown in the photo then you DON'T have HID (xenon) lights.
