VRS boost standard and remapped

Featured Replies

Wondering what boost the fabia vrs is running standard and what you remapped guys are running at?

Think standard boost is 1.4bar.

Remapped is around 1.6bar, depending on the car & remapper. Standard turbo won't last long @1.7bar.

Std boost is about 0.9-1.4 bar ;)

I remember Ross mentioning something about boost being ECU limited to 1.35bar as standard. Tuned depends on remapped and other mods done. With mine (hybrid turbo, FMIC and some other bits) it has no trouble with 2 bar and spikes of well over 2 bar. :) Generally its around 1.6 with upped fuelling helping to compensate for extra air being pushed. :)

1.35bar std. 1.35 remapped :)

1.55 reliably.. anything more is getting risky

The ibiza cupra pd160 is 1.55bar std

1.35bar std. 1.35 remapped :)

1.35bar std held to what revs and what revs does it (try to ) hold it to remmapped?

When you say 1.55+ is getting risky, you are referring to the standard turbo I take it there Colin ;)

1.35bar std held to what revs and what revs does it (try to ) hold it to remmapped?

No idea its impossible not to get heatsoak even in the winter.

I've also read 1.55 bar is the max reliable boost pressure. PD150 uses 1.5bar. As Col says PD160 uses 1.55bar.
