Door speaker not working !!

Featured Replies

Hi guys, my drivers door speaker has given up the ghost ! Haven’t looked on the bay of e as yet but I was wondering if anybody knows of any updated speakers I could fit ? Cheers for any replies

Before you buy anything, check the wiring between the door and A pillar in the bellows for broken wires.

Cheers for the reply wonky, it’s not my car it’s my girlies but I do the work on it!!! But moving on from your answer ……she wants some new speakers in the front doors now as one is f8ucked !! Are there any plug and play speakers that I can fit ?? I’m not an electrician as such so anything that I can directly replace would be ideal !!. Cheers

keep in mind that the speakers are held in place by rivets, you need to drill them out and after you can remove the speaker. Keep also in mind to by the speaker without an integrated woofer because is located in the A pillar, however i've used Hertz dsk 165.3 but you need adaptor to fit the speaker and also to trim some plastic in the back of the door card, and to sound nicely you need a subwoofer. look for some pioneer or similar products.
