Brake pad wear caution light.

Hi,

I have the dreaded 'Brake Pad Wear' caution light flashing up intermittently. Light On for 5 secs, Light off for 10 seconds. Happens 3 times then disappears for 10-15 minutes. It can happen on the motorway at 70mph. It’s not the pad sensor as we have slaved another pad in. The garage thinks it’s the cable but if it was wouldn’t it become intermittent. The light comes on so regular I’m beginning to think it’s the ECU……..wherever that is?.

What does everyone else think.
