Hi, I've been advised the mid-section on my exhaust will need replacing soon, but my local fast-fit were unable to source a replacement and suggested it may be a dealer only option.

I checked with Piper Exhausts but their systems are only compatible for hatchbacks

Has anyone out there encountered the same issue, and possibly have other recommendations for a new exhaust? (Ideally Edinburgh, West Lothian area)

I can not check exactly because I don't know your exact car but look at Klarius here : -

There is "Stainless Creations" in Falkirk, who could repair/replace a section for you.

I was in this situation back in 2007 when the flexible joint started to leak on my wife's 2002 Polo 1.4, I got that exhaust place to replace the flexi joint.
