Permanently disable lane assist and speed limit warning on the 2025 Skoda Superb MK4

Featured Replies

Hello,

I purchased a 2020 Skoda Superb PHEV MK4, with a production date of 07/2025. Is it possible to permanently disable or save the last setting for lane assist and speed limit warnings using OBD Eleven or any other method?

Best regards

Sadly No.

ODB11 and other devices don’t have access to safety mandated systems currently. I don’t think that they ever will. It’s a legal requirement to have the systems, and my understanding is that Thay have to be available every time you switch the car on. That way if you have an accident after disabling a system that could otherwise be avoided by the car. Your choice makes you liable for a traffic offence.

What it's really astonishing is that OBD11 still advertises, among the Apps, the availability of the "Traffic Sign Speed Warning" enable/disable...this Apps costs 200 credits...I truly believe this does not work (at least on my 2025 model that is SFD2 protected; unsure if the 2024 model has a different situation) and that those 200 credits would be required for anything...

That’s very true, the shills who are supported by OBD are still giving the impression that it will work, despite being aware.

It can however (I understand) make the changes for new brake pads, batteries ect, just not the safety systems covered by SFD2

Just a small point re the OP. A production date 2025 vehicle is very different from a 2020 because of the Legislation the manufacturers had to comply with from 2024.
