2014 Skoda Superb Lauren & Klement 2.0 tdi estate..

Featured Replies

Been a while, but I bought a 2.0 tdi Skoda Superb Estate with the Lauren & Klement trim yesterday. It`s done 138K but very clean and tidy , no dings, leather all good etc. Cambelt was done as far as I can tell at around 62K so am thinking it may be wise to get it done again now or soon as now done 138K? Also I notice what I assume are possible error messages on the MFD as follows: No bend lighting function AFS, check handbook and Check safe lock, check handbook are these anything to be concerned about?

Cheers

Andy

Default cambelt change is done by 131K miles or 210K kilometers. The "No bend lighting AFS function" warning means your car's Adaptive Frontlight System (AFS) has detected a fault, preventing headlights from swiveling into turns for better corner visibility, often due to a burnt-out cornering bulb (like an H7), a faulty sensor (suspension/leveling), blown fuse, or wiring issue, requiring diagnostic checks to clear the error and restore dynamic lighting. (AI source). So you better check its functions. The other check handbook warnings, I do not know about but it may be wise to red the manual.

Thanks for that. Cambelt was done at 62k so it`s been another 76k and booked in to be changed again early Jan. The light issue will be checked at same time. Am waiting on delivery of said handbooks as there were none with the vehicle when purchased.
