what does this warning symbol mean?

see attached sketch, oh it wont attach.

well symbol is orange with T shape stinking out to left and up an a thick T to right?

have looked in manual, cant find corresponding symbol.

Try to attach again - I seem to remember a bug which prevents thread-starting posts from having attachments.

no still wont attach, it is located on the speedo at about 7.30 on the dial, and normally comes on when u turn the key before u start the engine. and then goes out when u start the engine.

Sounds like an EPC fault light?

That is your Check Engine Light.

Take it to a dealer and they will tell you what is wrong. Handbook says, may be driven with caution IIRC.

phoned dealer thought it might be coil pack, was mystified when i said car was running ok. phoned aa they plugged laptop in and came up with error p126 air and fuel metering. no apparent probs cleared error, has not come back maybe just a glitch. thanks for ur help guys.

We had exactly the same thing on the first Octy vRS. Came on after 1000 miles and again after 3000 miles. In the end the dealer changed something to do with the emissions control system.

Had no problems after that until car was nicked.
