Just need some basic advice.. When is it advisable to change the plugs? Car has done 45000 miles and still on original ones. Took them out and they look ok, I know Skoda recommends approx every 4 years,, Don't want to throw £60 at a new set if these are still doing their job...Thanks

Did you check the gap? In any case, dying plugs may kill the coil pack when it finally gives up. £60 is pretty cheap preventative maintenance. 45K miles is enough.

Yes, I'd change them before you hit 50,000 miles.

I didn't check the gap, But they looked pretty much ok.. No burning or anything really but i will change them now after what you have said.. Thank you
