Hi All, I've ordered the frame that fits in the gear lever recess, but as I've heard these frames are easy to break, is there any specific way to assemble, or are there any other parts needed to complete the assembly?

For factory look no need anything more. That black ring holds the gaiter to stay up,the factory plastic knob is **** (i throw it away in few hours when i bought my Felicia).

Cover the plastic frame with gaiter,push gently down and ''click-click'' the job is done.

I have done a lot of work in mine (aftermarket gaiter-screws-chrome plate-decoration corde-different knob-patent with a screw to hold it very steady etc), do not mess with the same project,lot of effort-time and extra money.

It looks like you get the pre-facelift frame, those are a bit sturdier, but won't fit facelift tunnel. Facelift frames have weaker tabs which break easily during disassembly. Those have been unobtainable for years.

I actually found a used one yesterday, I removed it myself without damaging it, so will try to fit at the weekend.
