'24 Octavia Service Schedule

Featured Replies

Hi All

Purchased a 2024 Octavia (1.5 tsi, pre facelift) last year from a Skoda dealer. It had been serviced by them just before I purchased it at 9500 miles in mid May. I was under the impression the service interval was 1yr/10k miles which ever came first. So was expecting to get it serviced in mid May this year, or if it reached 19500 miles before then.

It's now on 16000 miles and saying it needs an Oil Service in 2700 miles or 23 days, which doesn't make sense to me - 23 days from now sounds early!

Has anyone else come across this before? It's the first car I've had that gives you service reminders/countdowns so I've no experience of it previously.

Thanks

I guess that is 1 year from the registration date and the service indicator wasn't reset to reflect the date you actually purchased it ( and the additional service performed before you bought)

Either that or it is still set to the variable service schedule which needs long-life oil and best for high mileage users. Your dealer ought to be able to tell you which oil was used and reset the car 'counters' and alerts accordingly.

Thanks both for your comments. I did wonder if variable servicing was something to do with it.

Looking at the documents we received with the car, it does look to tie up with the registration date, so perhaps that is what's happened.

Thanks

Maybe it was serviced in March and sat around for a month or two....

The just before bit needs to be verified as a date rather than an approximate time.

Id just service it now

It was serviced on 13th May, 2 weeks before I purchased it

Thanks
