Hi all. I live in Ulverstone, Tasmania (the little island just off the bottom of mainland Australia). I have just purchased a 2020 Scala. So, looking forward to many years of happy ownership, help from the forum for answers to any questions I might have, and solve any problems should they arise. I'm 79 and retired. I've had a 2011 VW Polo since new, and have sold that since buying the Scala. My main interest is cycling (I represented Australia at the 1968 Olympics and 1970 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh) I try and ride 60k every day, weather permitting.

Hi, welcome.

You will find owning a 2020 Scala a different experience to a 2011 Polo. Plenty of information and advice on this site to be found or asked for.

My advice is to read and refer to the car's 'Owner's Manual' and to keep the battery in a good state of charge, using an appropriate battery charger maintainer if required.

Well done on your age and cycling.

Hi and welcome,

Loved my Scala, had a new 1.5 dsg Monte Carlo from 2021 till 2025 when I changed to a Karoq 1.5 sel dsg. I much preferred the Scala and may well get another. Congrats on your fitness!
