anyone used one of these?

That looks like a rip off m8. :(

Unfortunately they fall into the category of "snakeoil", and don't make any perceivable difference to fuel economy...

Rob.

'Neodymium Super Conductor Magnets' - its gotta be good ...

A review (and some other great offers) in this thread

Just one question to ask yourself about this. If you really could increase economy by 28 percent for the price of a couple of magnets, why don't manufacturers fit them? Maybe they enjoy the challenge of trying to reach future fuel economy targets:rolleyes: .

Ive got one of them

Sits on the lid of my toolbox and holds my paperwork up there. Took it off a customers car which had a running fault.

That say it all really...

a piece of JUNK then?

Not sure I should admit this, but -

I used to have one of those on an old car years ago, it was called a power something? but basically the same. a magnet that clamps in the fuel line.

It actually did work though, no where near 28% better fuel economy but it was noticable - honest!

So why not have one again on your current car?

I once bought one of the Spitfire (name's been changed since due to Splitfire getting a bit arsey) HT leads that you see at every show.

The same guy, the same sales patter - shows you a before and after with a massive burn on the Spitfire-equipped plug...

Anyway, I got bored one weekend and took it off my Nova SR and cracked open the casing with an axe.

All that was inside was the two ends of the HT lead, a self tapping screw in the end of each lead and about a 5mm gap of air between them!

I never noticed the difference, but then I never drive under test conditions so...

Because I didn't pay for the one that was fitted to my old car.

A mate was selling them at the time and he gave me one, I would not consider the difference to be worth the initial outlay but there was a definate MPG improvement, technicaly the theory is sound too!

I just remembered it was called 'Power Plus' by the way.

There was a similar thing out years ago called Eco something or other, and not only could you get them for cars, but your gas pipes at home too. It claimed to charg atoms or some poop, and make your fuel more efficient. As they arent around today, i guess they didnt work too well.
