G28 and G40 sensor issues

Featured Replies

I’ve had my Octavia 2009 2.0 TDi, intermittently throwing me several warning codes and then going into limp mode, then it rested and works fine after a key cycle.

The error codes are P0016 (cam and crankshaft sensor positions) P0003 (fuel regulator circuit low) and P0651.

Given that they all appear at the same time, and I have checked and both the camshaft and crankshaft sensors appear to be working and getting accurate readings. Does anyone know what the issue may be?

I’m guessing it’s some sort of electrical gremlin but I’m not sure where to begin looking

Any recent work done?

E.g. cambelt change.

I had the front shocks done about a month ago, nothing else done though

Check the wiring back from the crank/cam sensors including connectors for moisture/corosion. Think there should be 5v at sensors with ignition on. Read that near engine lifting eye and under battery tray are most common places or damage.
