Seat memory height problem

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,

I like my seat position all the way up, and that is how I memorised it.

BUT every time I enter the car again height is not all the way up but 1-2 cm lower!

Anybody had the same problem and knows how to fix it?

Thanks

Just now I noticed , after unlocking the car, the moment I open the door, seat moves down 1 or 2cm.

Turn off personalisation so it’s not saved to the key. It doesn’t like being at the extreme of adjustment so moves every time it repositions when you unlock with the key.

@tombee had the opposite problem as he likes it all the way down.

Where to turn of personalisation? Don't remember having the option.

Via the cars Stereo

Vehicle - Personalisation - Scroll to the bottom for the option to Turn it off

Seems you have the extreme issue the other end of the scale to what I had

You might not have driving profiles. Have a look at:

Car

Setup

Seats

Vehicle key activated

It’s a known “feature” that the seats don’t like being saved at the top or bottom end of extremes of settings.

If you can store and recall memories then it’s not a software issue with the memory module.

Yep, I can store and recall seat positions. But it never stays all the way up. At the moment I open the door, seat goes down around 1 cm. Everything else is ok

if you have the menu mentioned above to save seat settings to the key, turn this off.

This way the seat should stay where you have set it.

If you move the seat and return it to the saved position, you will have to manually move it the last 1cm. But otherwise, between going in and out of the car, it should stay where you have set it, but only if it is NOT linked to the key. This is because every time you unlock with the key it moves to the saved position, doesnt like the extreme setting so moves 1cm away from your desired position. If you disconnect it from the key, it doesnt try to reset its position every time you unlock the car.
