Lost Oil Filler Cap

Featured Replies

Ok: rather foolishly, whilst topping up the oil I’ve knocked the filler cap down behind the radiator and it’s fallen onto the undertray 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’ll get a new cap tomorrow, but can’t see where the original one is. Would it be safe to leave it there and drive as normal, or is there any chance of it snagging on a belt etc?

I haven’t got any ramps, so it would be a pain trying to get underneath and remove the undertray etc.

Thanks!

Try driving it up onto kerb so that one side is raised and hit undertray with hand, it may dislodge lost cap onto road on low side.

Managed to get it up on a trolley jack and undo the undertray in the end 👍🏻
