Hi everyone,

I need some help here because I really am at a low point with my ownership at the moment with all the things that I have had to have done and the money spent this year. I have to get the sunroof sorted and need a donor cassette (my rails etc broken) and there are just so many different variations of the sunroofs and a distinct lack of spare parts (even from abroad).

I am at my wits end so I am calling on everyone to try and help source a donor cassette please.

Hi mate, yeah quite a few. Why is there such a lack of them? I am baffled!!

Is it the panoramic sunroof? I believe it's the same fit on all B6 platforms (Superb/Passat). Mine is currently not working - just ‘happened’ out of the blue but it's closed and water-tight. I think it's the interior switch or motor that has packed up. I’ve looked at places to source bits but will look properly when I can afford to have the car off the road for a bit in the summer.

It's a normal sunroof. As in one piece of glass tilt and slide. Although mine hasn't tilted or slid for some time.

The trouble is you have to be very careful because there are so many with really small mounting differences if you get one from abroad and it's wrong, unless you can sell for the same money you are wasting cash.

Have you tried this place? They seem to deal with a fair few sunroof issues and might be able to help.
