No dipped/side indicators on dash?

Featured Replies

Morning all

An odd one for you - or perhaps just me - I can't see any symbols on my dash to confirm the auto headlights have come on? I thought it would be odd for these to be hidden away on a maxidot screen?

Bought my car yesterday and thought auto lights had taken a while to come on. Realised nav screen had gone dark. Tested manually putting lights on and still no symbols on dash?

I've just had a look through the user manual and sure enough no side/position or dipped warning lights. So just assume it's put lights on if screen goes dark? Not always obvious from driving seat after all.

I wasn't a fan of my wifes car not having a dipped beam symbol! Now the parking/side/position lights indicator way down by my knee is all I have.

I guess this is a dark dash thing. Make problems more obvious.

The only indicator on my 2016 model is the high beam/auto high beam symbol which I seem to recall is blue. The dial you refer to isn't much use as it doesn't light up the appropriate symbol when the lights are on - it just lights up the whole thing as I noticed when I manually changed it from auto to main beam the other day. It was foggy and I wanted to make sure that I had headlights and not just sidelights.

Thanks for the conformation.

I was driving back home after the first day with the car, waiting to see when the lights come on. Had it in my mind that I thought I had seen you could adjust when the lights come on. Then after noticing some others had lights on I forced them on and back to auto and realised from the driving seat there's not much hints the lights have indeed come on.
