1.6 TDi DBKA (Manual 6 Shift) it Keeps Regenerate DPF

Featured Replies

Hy guyz!

I have an issue with DPF regen. It keeps continuously regenerate.

I have already cleaned with professional cleaner machine (high pressure, acid) and its done well after the cleaning one of the temperature sender which is in the deepest point we replaced because it seemed wrong or drift.

This car has 440.000 km (274.000miles) done.

Differential Pressure sensor(Delta P), cold engine stock data. In operation temperature its way to high 2 or maybe 3 times higher than the normal stock data. (also 90 °C, 194 °F)(363,15 K)

150-250hPa(mBar)

This i have it for 3-4 months. its beginned with a Thermostat problem, the dashboard of course said 90 °C but it was just 64 °C i used it for a long time till i figured out what is the problem...

After this i made a wide diagnostic by myself and it was an EGR problem (no fault codes just the logs i read) and i give a DPF and EGR system fluid, that is solved this problem well.

But the main problem is still on.

I driving a lot, i mean 2000-2500km (1200-1600miles) and its 90% Highway.

I haven't made an oil change but its in time, i think its already mixed with a huge amount of gasoline because of the common regen.

I also checked the Injectors, diagnosis said its fine only the post injections are high, but its normal because of the constant regen...

please help, im gonna change the oil asap. if you guyz need some log please tell me what kind of you need i make it a soon as possible!

Thanks in Advance!

Sorry no idea. As to your engine oil i expect you mean mixed with Diesel / Derv & not Gasoline / petrol.

And the most important thing, i forget to tell.

This constant Regen produce heavy consumption:

7.5-8Liters/100km

29,4 – 31,4 US MPG

35,3 – 37,7 UK MPG

The distance data, is for monthly cycle, just to be exact.

IIRC cleaning doesn't remove the ash left behind, when that exceeds a limit then the DPF needs replacing not just cleaning.

Yep, exactly. but ash volume is, by the VCDS: 23.18 g, as i know 70 g is the limit. Can i trust in this data, or not. Before the cleaning, they made a check, is it necessary or not. They told me it shows stock data, but i forced them to do it.

Hy guys. I just found the problem. Diff pressure sensor tube... it was ripped about 1 cm around, that was exactly next to the clamp you can not see it self. i was like must the whole thing to take apart. So its solved, ECU is now counting with true data, regen times reduced. So guy learn from others mistakes don't be lazy take it to apart and also don't be like me :D
