Kodiaq - want the 7 seater but scared with DPF

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Appreciate your feedback on the following: I'm choosing between the 2024 Kodiaq 2.0 TDI (150cv 7 seat) and the PHEV (5 seat) version and really want the 7 seats. In my country currently there's no 1.5 eTSI 7 seat offer.

Although I make around 15k kms per year and 80%+ of those in highway on 120km/h speeds, I mostly do small 2~4km city journeys per day. So I'm obviously concerned about DPF and regen.

I have no idea how the 2.0 TDI behaves and its DPF region. My schedule would look something like: driving small routes during 2~3weeks, big 300km journey, repeat.

What do you think? Would I make it ok with maybe just some fuel additives? Or will I 100% be in trouble?

Thanks in advance!

If you drive a good way at 120km/h either side of your 2-4km drives in the City a Diesel will be fine.

But if if you are going to compromise and go for five seats and have a driveway i would buy an Enyaq 85

Hello there,

If you regularly (2-3 weeks) drive about 300 KM, then even a diesel should be fine. This will allow for the 7 seats as well.

I'm assuming you do not whish to consider 2 cars? Small petrol for the city and the 7 seater diesel for the long journeys.

Cheers!
