Had an insurance repair done 12 months ago on my Octavia 1.9TDI yr 2000. Nearside front wing and bumper were replaced. Recently I removed the wheel arch cover to make repairs on the chaffed wires on side indicators. Looking towards the front under the front wing I can see a connector/sensor hanging loose, (See pictures). Anyone know what this is and is it something the body shop has failed to position properly ? I can't see where it should attach to so any advise on this would be welcome.

try using JPEG and dropping the image size and quality down.

Could be the external air temerature sensor for the temp displayed on the dash and climatronic.

Certainly looks like the outside air temperature sensor to me.
