Help with repair

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I am currently trying to fix my 2019 kodiaq. I has had a front end collision and I purchased it back from the insurance company

Any how, the mount the head lamp attaches to is broken. I was wondering if anyone knew what part it is. I think it's 565805588N. The radiator support. Anyone have any ideas or can confirm my view.

I have included a diagram. I don't know if this a 1 or 2 or the part nos

Any help is appreciated

Hi,

Sorry I can't answer directly. If you can identify screw #14, it may help you to define whether it's part #1 or #2. If screw #14 goes directly into this part, it could be #1 ; otherwise, I would guess, this is part #2

It's definitely part 1. The question is if I can work out a way to plastic weld another nut back on to this without having to replace the whole radiator support panel.

There are parts available 565998226a which can are repair kits but I think those are for the lamps not the chassis side. Anyone have any thoughts on this

Did you try sticking the broken parts with glue that polymerizes using UV lamp?
