Hi all

2013 2ltr tdi

Always changed oil at 10k or yearly with Quantum 5w 30 long life since last dealer service at 5 years old.

Wife’s 2005 Fabia vrs has always ran on quantum 5w 40 oil

On the Fabia forum it states to run on 5w 40 due to wear

Am now wondering with milage at 118k should I consider changing 5w 30 to 5w 40 due to believing its only for emissions etc

Any thoughts on this

Do not change your 2013 TDI with DPF to 5w 40 FS VW502 00. But if you can find VW 504 00 / 507 00, 5w 40 FS III long life then on you go.

On a PD assuming your Fab is a vRS you need to watch for cam wear. Unless you have anything to gain maybe stick with 5w40 Quantum

IMO LL3 the absolute best oil for Superb even at low miles.
