Stuck in guest mode / cant log in through car

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I’m having a frustrating issue with my Octavia Mk4 (Infotainment system). I am currently stuck using a Guest account, and I cannot log in or create a new user profile.

Every time I try to log in or set up a Primary User, I get the following error message:

"Unfortunately, it was not possible to load your settings."

Here are the details of the situation:

• Privacy Settings: When I try to access the Privacy Settings menu, it just says "Please wait..." infinitely and never loads.

• Connectivity: The globe icon is white, so the built-in e-SIM seems to have a connection.

• What I’ve tried so far:

• Hard reset of the Infotainment (holding the power button for 30+ seconds).

• Connecting the car to my phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot (it connects, but the error persists).

• Letting the car "sleep" for hours.

• The Problem: Because of this, I cannot become the "Primary User," which means I can't use Skoda Connect or any remote features. The "Me" button is grayed out and unresponsive.

Has anyone found a DIY fix for this? I’ve heard about pulling Fuse 52 (OCU reset) – does that actually work for this specific error? Or is a dealership firmware update (to v1941 or similar) the only way out?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Have you tried doing a factory reset in the infotainment settings?

Hi Robert,

Try creating new profile. I had similar issue after OTA modem update. I suspect my profile got corrupted on Skoda Server.
