Moisture in high level brake light Kamiq Monte Carlo

Featured Replies

Hi all am new to the forum and hopefully someone can give me some advice. Have found beads of moisture (not a light haze) in my Kamiq monte Carlo high level brake light. Looks like this has been going on for a long time. Noticed very small splits in the plastic of the unit either side of the wash jet and wondering if this is the cause. Anyone else have similar experience and how to replace the unit given it's attached to the spoiler? Many thanks.

I had this with mine. I ended up paying for it to be replaced at a Skoda garage because I thought I'd damaged it somehow. I didn't attempt it myself as it requires most of the boot to be taken apart (including the side spoilers that are attached to the glass with adhesive)

However, it's happening again and as my car is still under warranty I'm going to try for that as it would seem to be a design defect. LED lights are supposedly covered

o Light bulbs (Xenon/gas discharge bulbs and LED’s are covered for the full warranty offered with the vehicle)

Thanks for the feedback. My car is 5 1/2 years old now so way out of warranty. Am getting quotes from couple of body shops that have done good work with my cars over the years and will then decide to go ahead or live with it until the light fails. I wouldn't trust my local Skoda dealership to do the work without fing it up as have previous with them. That said I'm concerned if left that water could also be leaking into the hatch panels and causing a problem there.
