Annoying rattle / creak from N/S door area

Featured Replies

My 2023 Superb SEL Estate 2.0 diesel has developed an infuriating rattle / creak inside the car. It seems to be coming from the N/S door area. Bumps and ridges in the road surfaces cause the noise to occur. I wondered whether it might be within one of the doors, part of the seat belt mechanism or part of the door locking mechanism. Bizarrely, it seems to be worse now the weather is warmer. Any suggestions?

In case it helps, a few years back I had an irritating rattle that I struggled to pin down - sometimes it seemed to be coming from somewhere, other times from somewhere else. It didn't help that my wife and I could hear the noise at the same time but think it was from different parts of the car!

Purely by accident I found it was a loose "stud" - one of the little stalks that the cord that raises the tailgate shelf when you lift the tailgate attaches to. I tightened it up and the noise was gone. I have a Yeti but if the Superb has a similar arrangement worth just checking the tightness of these little posts.
