Recommendations for shocks discs & pads (UK)

Featured Replies

Hi.

Any recommendations for replacement shocks discs & pads as they are all in need of replacement for MOT.

I have a 1.2tsi Business model 2017 vintage.

thanks in advance.

Depends how much you want to pay and how long you are planning on keeping the car?

If you want high quality OEM standard but not Skoda OEM, I can recommend:

Shocks - Bilstein

Brakes - Pagid or Febi Bilstein

They both have on line catalogues. Normally I get the part numbers then scour eBay for identical at a discount. Just bought new Audi brakes this way - the dealer wanted £1400. I paid £440 same quality fitted at a really good specialist.

I have been using KYB shocks/springs for years and no problem. Discs and pads been using APEC and again no problem. Get my parts from https://www.partsinmotion.co.uk/ unless its an absolute emergency then I use my local motorfactors. Partsinmotion have good prices and so far excellent delivery. KYB and APEC have online catalogue for cross ref OE numbers
